You might have heard that Medicare is changing from November 2025 to increase bulk-billing rates for short GP visits.
Unfortunately, these reforms reduce support for longer, more comprehensive consultations โ the kind I provide at Vitality Lifestyle Medicine.
From 1 January 2026:
Initial consultation (50 min): $400 (Out of pocket $197.35)
Standard consultation (25 min): $150 (Out of pocket $65.10)
Phone results appointment: $75 (Out of pocket $31.10)
Medicare rebates still apply and will be processed on the day.
