I’m Dr Lisa Cochrane, a GP who supports women through the messy, misunderstood middle — from hormone shifts to hysterectomy and everything in between.

If you're dealing with hormonal changes, planning or recovering from a hysterectomy, or feeling like your body’s shifting in ways you weren’t prepared for — you're not alone.

What is Lifestyle Medicine?

 

Lifestyle Medicine is an approach that focuses on using lifestyle changes to prevent, manage, and even reverse chronic diseases. Unlike traditional medicine, which often relies on medications and surgeries, Lifestyle Medicine addresses the root causes of diseases by promoting healthy behaviours based on six pillars: nutrition, regular physical activity, quality sleep, stress management, social connections, and avoiding risky substances.                 

This approach is particularly important given that chronic diseases such as heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and certain cancers account for over 70% of deaths worldwide. Dr Lisa Cochrane


Dr Lisa Cochrane is an experienced medical doctor (GP) and Lifestyle Medicine advocate. She supports people with chronic health issues to transform their well-being through simple, sustainable lifestyle and behaviour changes. When not at work, she's either exploring the outdoors with her sons or working on her surfing at her local beach.
